Jetstar Engineering: A team that takes off together

Jetstar’s NZ Engineering Team are at the forefront of delivering our superior safety standards. They are responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our fleet of aircraft and customer aircraft, including completing all required maintenance that must be carried out on time and to approved standards to ensure they take to the skies safely. At every stage, all maintenance needs to be documented, detailed records maintained, with aircraft parts ordered and available at all times.

Your new position as a LAME - Line Station Engineer (LSE) will see you performing line maintenance services on Jetstar and client airlines in compliance with the operators AOC and regulatory framework. This permanent role will see you working with a range of specialist teams enabling you to provide excellent engineering standards on a solid foundation of safety, quality, reliability and service. 

 

Ready for your next adventure? We’re on the hunt for someone who:

  • Holds a B1 Category CASA Aircraft Engineer license or New Zealand / overseas equivalent license
  • A320, A330, B737 or B787 experience desirable but not essential 
  • Have excellent time management skills and a proven ability to effectively manage self and others; 
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team; 
  • Have experience in aircraft maintenance; 
  • Have a proven commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives; 
  • Have proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle competing demands, particularly when under pressure and/or managing multiple stakeholders; 
  • Hold a valid driving license and ability to obtain an Airside Driver’s License; 
  • Be able to work a minimum of 40 + hours per week; 
  • Ability to work 24/7 shift work (12-hour shifts)
